Over 30 square kilometers of quinoa have been planted in Jingle County – known as the "home of quinoa in China" – in north China's Shanxi Province this year, which accounts for one-sixth of the total planting area of quinoa in the country. Meanwhile, Wuzhai County in Xinzhou City has seen a bumper harvest of corn in its 40-square-kilometer farmlands. The corn is sold in both domestic and international markets, including the United States and South Korea.
