The first Golden Panda Awards event, jointly hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Sichuan provincial government, is set to be held in the city of Chengdu in southwest China's Sichuan Province from September 19 to 20. The inaugural event is committed to deepening intercultural exchanges and enhancing international friendship through film and television.
As an international cultural awards program, the Golden Panda Awards are dedicated to recognizing outstanding film and television productions from around the world.
A total of 25 awards in four categories, including film, TV dramas, documentaries and animation, will be presented. A significant proportion of these shortlisted works will promote the ideals of peace and advocate cultural exchanges.
A variety of panda-themed activities will be held throughout the event. The Golden Panda International Cultural Forum is one of the most highly anticipated events. Prominent figures and leaders from the cultural sector will come together to share their ideas and thoughts on the future of the film and television industry in terms of diversity, inclusiveness and harmony.
