The Renaissance arose in Italy and was a glorious era of cultural prosperity in human history. Eike Schmidt, director of the Uffizi Galleries in Italy, gave a speech with the topic of "Dialogue between East and West" at the First Golden Panda International Cultural Forum. He said the basic principles for cultural exchange during the Renaissance are still applicable today. Mutual understanding among diverse cultures will enable us to embrace a better future.
