As a flagship project of China's Belt and Road Initiative, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has emerged as a transformative force in Pakistan.

This CGTN special program on the Belt and Road Initiative is co-produced with Pakistan's national broadcaster, PTV World. In it, we spoke to Hamayoun Khan, a senior strategic affairs expert and sinologist. He said China brought investment a decade ago when Pakistan needed to improve infrastructure, which laid a solid foundation for more cooperation in the second phase of CPEC.
