More than 2,000 civilians in the Nagorno-Karabakh region have been evacuated after Azerbaijan began its "anti-terrorist" operation on Tuesday, TASS reported Wednesday citing Russian Defense Ministry.
According to Armenia's Armenpress news agency, at least 32 people were killed and over 200 wounded in less than 24 hours of Azerbaijan's military operation in the disputed region.
Earlier on Wednesday, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev said that operation in Nagorno-Karabakh will end "if (Karabakh forces) lay down their arms" in a phone call with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
