More than 80 competitors from 28 rescue teams around the world competed in the three-day outdoor competition between September 16 and 19. The race, introduced by the European Grid Industrial Company and Shenzhen Yi Rescue Team, puts China at the center of rope rescue events in Asia, and creates opportunities for skills competitions and technical exchanges involving rescuers from around the world. The event also introduced the latest international rope rescue technology standards and concepts to Asia.
