Located on Nishan Mountain, Nishan Sacred Land is a popular scenic spot as well as a cultural experience base in Qufu City, Shandong Province where people can learn about traditional Chinese culture. Renowned as the hometown of Confucius, Qufu City features many cultural heritage sites. Among them, the Temple of Confucius, the Cemetery of Confucius and the Family Mansion of Confucius, were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. As an important event for cultural communication, the Nishan Forum on World Civilizations will be held in the city from September 26 to 28 this year.
