Israel's Foreign Minister Eli Cohen says a deal to normalize ties with Saudi Arabia could be completed by early next year. The United States is playing the role of a broker in a push to normalize ties between the two nations. Wang Jin, research fellow at the Syria Research Center of Northwest University, says that the U.S. hopes to reconstruct Middle East politics and maintain its dominance in the region.
