The fashion showcase delivered a dazzling array of new trends and releases. As fashion shows emerged throughout the cityscape, the latest fashion trends harmonized with the backdrop of historical and cultural landmarks.

Opening this year's event was fashion designer Lawrence Xu, who turned Qianmen Street into a dazzling runway, showcasing his latest collection under the theme "The Central Axis of Beijing." Spanning 7.8 kilometers, the central axis of Beijing preserves the cultural evolution that took place from the time of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) to modern-day China.

Acclaimed for redefining Chinese luxury, the designer seamlessly blends royal elements into Chinese culture, allowing Chinese symbolism to shine brilliantly within Western silhouettes.

"The central axis of Beijing is symmetrical, which is in line with the aesthetics of traditional Chinese architecture. This line connects some very culturally-representative buildings, such as the Drum Tower, the Bell Tower, and the Forbidden City. I feel very honored to showcase my designs here," said Xu.

And the show was breathtaking. The intricate details of his creations were truly remarkable, transforming intangible cultural heritage into a tangible reality.

"I really like to turn traditional elements from arts such as embroidery into the latest fashion, especially from China's intangible cultural heritage. I think this should be integrated into modern life, so it can connect with more people. It should not be consigned to history. As a fashion designer, I always like to draw on intangible cultural heritage and use it in my designs," said Xu.
