In 2018, China designated the Autumnal Equinox as the Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival. This year the sixth celebration of the festival was held, with the main event taking place in Wuhu, eastern China's Anhui Province. The highlight of the celebration this year involved a vibrant display of folk culture. The performances not only showcased the progress made in modern agriculture, but also emphasized the idea of creating sustainable rural environments. Despite rare natural disasters in various regions of China this year, the overall situation for grain production is considered promising and a bumper harvest is expected.
