The China International Development and Cooperation Agency has confirmed it will provide 30 million yuan ($4.11 million) in emergency humanitarian aid to Libya to support ongoing rescue efforts following devastation caused by hurricanes and floods. These essential supplies are heading to Libya via a chartered flight and land in Libya on September 24. The packages will be handed over to Libyan Red Crescent-Benghazi through the Chinese Embassy in Libya. At Libya's request, the equipment sent includes tents, blankets, first aid kits, hand-pressured water treatment equipment and portable color Doppler ultrasound diagnostic equipment.
