As one of the designated zones for the competition, Huzhou is hosting Team Saudi Arabia, which comprises almost ninety athletes across different sports. Our reporter, Wang Siwen, visits their training facility and files this report.

Nearly ninety athletes from Team Saudi are staying in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province.

In preparation for the games, they arrived a week in advance to fine-tune their skills and get in peak form.

The basketball team was one of the earlier arrivals.

ALI SANHANI Coach, Saudi Arabia Basketball Team "Actually, all of players are interested. They will be ready for this, especially this is Asian Games every four years, so everybody wants to play this and wants to present country very well."

This time, Team Saudi Arabia has 193 athletes, competing across 19 different sports, including basketball, tennis, fencing, golf, and boxing.

It's the largest contingent of Saudi athletes in their history at the competition, and includes many newcomers looking to break records.

YARA ALHOGBANI Athlete, Saudi Arabia Tennis Player "The preparation has been going great especially here, it was a long flight here, I think the total is like 11 hours, but when we got here, it was really worth it, I'm really enjoying it that people are so welcoming. The food is really good, really clean streets, really clean city. I really like it. I like to see the different cultures. So I'm really happy to be here and the facility is nice. So I'm enjoying the weather as well because it's hot and Saudi. It's the first time for a female to be competing in tennis, so I hope to represent my kingdom the best I can, and hopefully pave the way for future female athletes for my country, future female tennis players and hopefully one of these years, won a gold medal."

To help the team settle, the hotel has been renovated. Customized dining areas and medical facilities are helping the athletes quickly get used to their new surroundings, so they can focus on the games.

ZHOU BIN Second Level Researcher Huzhou Sports Bureau "We've done a lot of work to support Saudi Arabia training in the city, such as assigning volunteers as 24/7 translators, and carrying out a comprehensive inspection of each venue to make sure everything goes smoothly."
