Chinese sci-fi comedy director shares his bond with Sichuan

"Journey to the West," a small-budget award-winning film, tells a story of a group of sci-fi magazine editors searching for aliens in a remote Chinese village. Well received by Chinese audiences, it also showed how sci-fi comedy could be with distinctly regional characteristics of southwest China's Sichuan Province. In an interview with CGTN's Liu Xiaoxian, Kong Dashan, director and scriptwriter of the film, shares his story and bond with Sichuan.
