The Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands is calling on Japan to explore other options in its nuclear-contaminated water discharge plan. And neighboring countries including South Korea, Fiji, and the Philippines are condemning Japan's actions, citing environmental concerns. Shen Yiyang, Director of the Inclusive Development Research Center, says that no matter how much other countries protest against the ocean discharge, only Japan itself can stop the pollution. However, Japan does not think it has any responsibility to the global community in this regard.
