Huawei on Monday introduced a series of new consumer electronics products that the Shenzhen-based company claimed can cover 'all scenarios.'

The products include a high-end smartphone, a luxurious smart watch built with 18k gold, a home router supporting latest WiFi-7 standard, a 13.2-inch tablet, among others.

The most eye-catching announcement at the press conference was the "Ultimate Design" brand set to replace the previous luxurious Porsche Design.

Richard Yu, head of Huawei's consumer business, told a stadium full of people that Ultimate Design combines Huawei's best design level and the best technology to forge an ultimate consumer electronics experience.

Huawei fans in the stadium frequently chanted "Yaoyaolingxian," a word that can be translated as "way ahead" and is often used by Yu to describe Huawei products.

Legendary actor Andy Lau made a sudden appearance at the conference to give a keynote speech explaining the core idea of Ultimate Design.

The initial Ultimate Design products include a smartphone and a smart watch.

The phone, named Mate 60 RS, is the top model of the Mate 60 series with its iconic octagonal camera module.

The watch is named the Huawei Watch Ultimate Design, which is basically the Watch Ultimate incorporated with 18k gold to make it more luxurious.

In addition to the Ultimate Design products, Huawei also released the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch, which Yu claimed is the world's first tablet to carry a flexible OLED screen and is also the first to include 88-watt fast charging.

For home users, Huawei introduced the Huawei Router 3B Pro with WiFi-7 capabilities, which can transfer a single file through both 2.4gHz and 5gHz channels to boost speed.

A 98-inch TV named Huawei Vision V5 Pro was launched by He Gang, head of Huawei's terminal business group. The TV comes with a remote that can be used like a laser pointer to simulate mouse control, which He claimed will make the TV controls as easy as "a giant smartphone." A depth camera is installed on top of the TV to make the new function possible.

The Vision V5 Pro also comes with an upgraded HiSilicon Honghu 900 chip that is 200 percent faster than the previous Honghu 818, enabling AI-based super sampling from 720p to 4k in real time.

Another new product that received a chip upgrade is the Huawei Freebuds Pro 3 wireless earbuds. With the new Kirin A2 chip, the new Freebuds can use a new standard to transfer audio data – NearLink, which Huawei claimed is far better than Bluetooth in this scenario mainly because of its large bitrate.

The Freebuds Pro 3 can play music at a bitrate of 1.5 megabits per second, which exceeded the CD standard and the maximum 0.99 mbps of Bluetooth-based standards, giving listeners a sound quality "beyond lossless," according to He Gang.

For the automobile scenario, Yu only promised to release the "better than Model-S" Zhijie S7 in November and "the most powerful SUV" – AITO M9 – in December.

Lastly, Yu noted that the next version of the company's HarmonyOS software will be a revolutionary upgrade with the support for native apps that cannot run on Android-only devices but will run better on HarmonyOS.
