Eight-time Grammy winner Usher will headline the halftime show of Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, on February 11, the NFL announced on Sunday.

It will be the 44-year-old musician's second appearance on the Super Bowl halftime show. He performed as guest during Super Bowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in 2011 when the Black Eyed Peas were the headliners.

"It's an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list," Usher said in a statement. "I can't wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they've seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I'll see you real soon."

Some of the superstars who have headlined the Super Bowl halftime show before Usher include Beyonce, Madonna, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, U2, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson and Katy Perry.

Usher is currently headlining his "Usher: My Way" residency in Las Vegas and expected to finish it in early December. He was widely recognized as a superstar musician after his fourth studio album "Confessions" sold over 10 million units in the U.S. in 2005. He was nominated for eight awards at that year's Grammy and won three. The album is one of the best-selling music projects of all time.

The NFL, Roc Nation and Apple Music will cooperate for the second time on the Super Bowl halftime show next year. Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins will be the co-producers for the show. Hamish Hamilton will be its director.
