China's men's basketball team will kick off their Hangzhou Asian Games tournament on September 26. Ahead of the first match, CGTN's Wang Guan talked with Sheikh Saud Ali Al Thani, president of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), and asked him about his impression of this year's Asian Games. Thani talked about Chinese basketball legends Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian and hailed the career of recently-retired Yi Jianlian, wishing him all the best. Addressing the future of Chinese basketball, Thani said he is confident that Team China can overcome the hurdles and nurture a new generation of basketball players.
