The opening ceremony of a special exhibition of a global roadshow launched by China Media Group (CMG) was held on September 26 at the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History in Peru's capital, Lima. Over a hundred attendees, including Peruvian government officials, representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Peru, the president of CMG, leaders of local mainstream media in Peru, experts from the field of archaeology, were present at the event.

The show is dubbed "Journey Through Civilizations," and this special exhibition in Peru is jointly organized by the Latin American Bureau of China Central Radio and Television Corporation (CCTV), China Global Television Network (CGTN), the Chinese Embassy in Peru, and the museum that holds it. The exhibition will be open until October 2. The show will also be held in Hong Kong and Macao SAR of China, the United Kingdom, and Egypt.

Haydee Victoria Rosas Chávez, Peru's deputy minister of culture, stated that historical relics are the roots of human culture, and this exhibition utilizes the latest technological methods to show China's ancient history and culture, representing a fusion of tradition and innovation. It provides the people of Peru with an opportunity for an in-depth understanding of Chinese civilization. She hoped that both China and Peru will achieve even more fruitful results in the field of cultural exchange in the future.

Rafael Varón, the director of the host museum, expressed his gratitude in his address to CMG for bringing China's ancient history and civilization up close to the people of Peru. He praised that it is an honor for the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology, and History of Peru – the oldest museum in Peru – to host such a magnificent exhibition.
