Sitting near the border of southwest China's Yunnan Province, Dulong River Valley is one of the last secret lands in China. Ranging mountains that once cut the place off from the outside world, also help preserve the lush forest and clear water here, reminding people of the magnificent landscape before industrialization.
Here, you can see the capped langurs that are only distributed in the middle and lower reaches of the Dulong River. You can also meet the last few Dulong women with facial tattoos. Both Dulong people and wildlife living in the valley are working on finding a new balance with nature as the place is no longer isolated.
From September 29 to October 10, CGTN Nature will release its new series, "Journeys in Nature: Timeless Valley Series," which takes you to the mysterious Dulong River Valley to see the amazing creatures there and learn the ancient wisdom of Dulong people living in harmony with nature. Stay tuned!
