Expert: Republicans, Democrats have no plan to pay U.S.' national debt

U.S. lawmakers struggled to resolve their disagreements over government funding on Wednesday, as a partial shutdown looms on September 30. Analysts say this particular looming shutdown is worse because Washington is polarized politically. Einar Tangen, senior fellow at the Taihe Institute think tank in Beijing, says that neither Republicans nor Democrats have a plan to pay the country's $33-trillion national debt.
