Humming the song "Red Star Shines," 74-year-old Dr Haji's thoughts drift back half a century. As a young man living on the island of Zanzibar, he never imagined that he was about to travel all the way to China to study pediatrics and acupuncture. The song reminds him of the years he spent there. Although now retired, he continues to look after Zanzibar's children.
