The Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, has been observed by people of China throughout the ages. It is usually marked by family reunions, watching the full moon and eating mooncakes. Bonnie, a French girl, has lived in Shanghai for 16 years. In this video, she talks about her understanding of the Mid-Autumn Festival. For example, the term "Mid-Autumn" was first documented in "The Rites of Zhou." Bonnie also shared with the audience her favorite classic fairy tale "Chang'e Flying to the Moon," and recited Li Bai's ancient poem "Thoughts on a Silent Night" in French to express her love for traditional Chinese festivals.
