This is Ali Ahmed, who has been the caretaker of the Gilgit Chinese Memorial Cemetery in Pakistan for 45 years. The cemetery is the resting place for Chinese workers who died during the building of the Karakoram Highway through the 1960s and 70s. Today, Ali sits down under the trees he planted himself, and brings us a poem he wrote.
