The China-Australia High Level Dialogue resumed last week in Beijing after a three-year hiatus. And later this year, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will be the first Australian government leader to visit China since 2016. How did relations between the two sides deteriorate? Is the meeting a sign that both sides are ready to repair the broken ties? And how will the two sides manage their relationship with continuing influence from the U.S.?
