Wang Qi, 22, secured the gold medal in the men's hammer throw final with a throw covering a distance of 72.97 meters. It was China's first gold in hammer throw at the Asian Games since 1994. However, Wang Qi's humility shone through when he talked to CGTN's Xu Jinhui after the event. He said he performed badly, because he was awed by many foreign athletes' abilities during the competitions outside China.
