Life-like sculptures and figurines of popular comic books, movies, cartoons, anime and other fictitious characters have drawn fans of the subculture to a large-scale exhibition in Shanghai. Describing itself as the world's largest modeling and model exhibition, the Wonder Festival has arrived in the east China city, bringing with it models of the likes of the Joker from the Batman franchise, Spongebob Squarepants, and many more. The visual feast played out at the Shanghai New International Expo Center over two days during China's October Golden Week holiday period, giving visitors a glimpse of the latest developments in the modeling industry.
