Japanese designer Naoki Takizawa muses on Chinese fashion market

Japanese fashion designer Naoki Takizawa recently showcased his latest visions at China Fashion Week in Beijing.

Takizawa began his career at Issey Miyake, becoming the brand's creative director in 1999. He established his own studio in 2006 and has since created collections for Helmut Lang and Uniqlo.

The fashion designer is now running his personal brand, Naoki Takizawa, while also overseeing Uniqlo's collaborations.

Our reporter Ding Siyue sat down with him ahead of the show to hear his views on contemporary couture design and the Chinese fashion market.
