Residents and tourists in Nanjing, Jiangsu, took time to learn more about the history and heritage of the Nanjing City Wall. Located east of the Zhonghua Gate, Nanjing City Wall Museum is an 8,700-square-meter facility that unpacks the heritage of the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) structure through artifacts and tech-enhanced displays. Around 700 bricks, many engraved with Chinese characters detailing their origins, offer viewers an insight into the craftsmanship of ancient brick making. Cannons and weapons also form part of the exhibition.
