Two-time Grand Slam winner Carlos Alcaraz was ousted by Italy's Jannik Sinner in the semifinal of the China Open on Tuesday, seeing the Italian book a title clash with the in-form Daniil Medvedev. The 20-year-old Alcaraz confessed in a post-match press conference that Sinner outplayed him across the match, although he managed to maintain a good level of tennis in the first set.
The Spaniard will next head to Shanghai for the ATP Masters 1000 tournament.
CGTN caught up with Alcaraz before his loss in Beijing, as he made his debut in China.
