Located in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, the Xingjiao Temple houses the preserved remains of Xuanzang, a famous monk from the 7th century. The five-storied Buddhist relic pagoda was one of eight famed temples of the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Along with other sites along the Silk Road, the temple was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2014.
