Nyonya food becomes popular under Belt and Road

Between the 14th and 17th centuries, some Southern Chinese settlers moved to Malacca and intermarried with the local population. Their male descendants were called Baba, while their female descendants were called Nyonya. These descendants developed a unique culture that blended Chinese and Malaysian elements, such as Nyonya food. CGTN Reporter Zhu Zhu takes you to Malaysia to learn more.
