Swiatek and Gauff recently encountered each other in the Cincinnati semifinal where the American teenager beat the four-time Grand Slam winner for the first time with a 0-7 head-to-head record.

Swiatek is eyeing her 1st WTA 1000 level title of the season in Beijing, having already reached the semifinals or further in Dubai, Indian Wells, Montreal and Cincinnati, while Gauff now maintains the longest winning streak of 16 matches in women's tennis this year.

"I know also how she plays, what she's improved, what she changed. I'm just going to use that information and not over-analyze because I think we're both good players," Swiatek said of her upcoming match against Gauff.

In the last quarterfinal of the day, Rybakina improved her head-to-head record against the top seed to 2-4, after losing in their first four encounters and finally winning her first in the Indian Wells final in March.

Swiatek, Gauff, Rybakina and Sabalenka have already earned their qualification to the WTA Finals due to take place in Cancun, Mexico at the end of this month.
