Türkiye has neutralized a senior Kurdish member of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, Turkish media reported Friday, citing intelligence sources.
Turkish intelligence targeted Ilyas Biro Eli, head of the so-called assassination unit of the PKK and the Union of Kurdistan Communities (KCK), in an operation in northern Iraq, the report said.
Listed as a terror organization by Türkiye, the PKK has been rebelling against the Turkish government for over three decades.
