Xinzhou, a city in northern China's Shanxi Province, has been celebrating the National Day holiday with different traditional folk shows. The Xinzhou Ancient City, built on 1,800-year-old ruins, has seen a surge in daily visitors over the holiday, with a daily average of some 90,000 people. In Xinzhou City's Mount Wutai Scenic Spot, a newly built cultural town also opened to tourists in time for the National Day holiday.
