Ukraine approves increase in 2023 defense spending

Ukraine's parliament approved a 303-billion-hryvnia ($8.27-billion) increase in defense spending for the rest of the year on Friday, lawmakers said.
It will add to this year's budget funding for the security and defense sector of 1.67 trillion hryvnias, which accounts for 26.6 percent of GDP.
