A massive three-day healthcare strike over wages and staff shortages in the U.S. ended without any progress in talks. Industry giant Kaiser Permanente and unions representing the 75,000 workers who picketed this week did not reach any deal.

The strike ended on the morning of October 6, with workers returning to their jobs in Kaiser's hospitals and clinics that serve nearly 13 million Americans. Over five million healthcare workers in the U.S. have resigned so far.
