In response to a suicide drone attack on a military academy in Homs, Syria on Thursday, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Saturday that China firmly opposes all forms of violent terrorist acts.

Noting that the attack has killed at least 80 and wounded more than 200, the spokesperson said China condemns the attack and mourns for the victims.

"We offer our sympathies to the injured and the families who have lost loved ones," the spokesperson added.
