The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) retaliated with artillery fire, attacking the area in Lebanon where mortar shells were fired from into Israeli territory a few minutes ago, an IDF spokesperson said in a statement after Israel's army radio reported mortar fire from Lebanon into northern Israel.
