Over 1,000 Palestinians and Israelis have been killed in the escalation of tensions and violence that began on Saturday morning.
The death toll from Hamas' surprise attack on Israel has reached 659 while Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have killed 370 people, according to media accounts.
