An escalation of violence between Palestinian militants and the Israeli military has caused over 1,100 deaths in Gaza and Israel since Saturday morning.
CGTN stringer talked to some Gaza residents evacuated from a destroyed building on Sunday. They were trying to find their belongings in the ruins. "We honestly couldn't go out because of the extreme danger and fear," said Shadi Al-Hassi, a local resident.
