In our documentary series "The Call of the Silk Road," it's time to explore Senegal, the westernmost country in Africa. In addition to its natural wonders and extraordinary beauty, Senegal has a rich culture, within which a special place is reserved for laamb, or traditional Senegalese folk wrestling. In 2018, the sport received a major boost when a 20,000-seat Chinese-funded-and-built arena opened its doors in Dakar. In this episode, we explore how legends have been made there, and the great benefits that have arisen from the new facility.
