"The moon still shines on mountain passes as of yore. How many guardsmen of the Great Wall are no more? " This poem, called "On the Frontier," is written by Wang Changling, a poet of the Tang Dynasty (618-907). It expresses the poet's wish to appoint good generals as soon as possible to quell the war and chaos on the frontier so that the people can have a stable life. Xu Zhaoqun reads the first poem of "On the Frontier" in Greece's Epidaurus.
