Luban Workshop, named after an outstanding artisan in ancient China, brings advanced vocational education experience and equipment to Djibouti to help the local youth. In September 2018, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation that China would "set up 10 Luban workshops in Africa to provide vocational skills training to African youth."
