The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Wednesday that the Refugee Olympic Team for the Paris Olympics will be hosted in Bayeux in France's Normandy.

A pre-Games Training Camp is scheduled to take place from July 15 to 18 in 2024, and will provide an opportunity to bond among teammates before they head for the Paris Games.

To date, there are a total of 63 refugee athletes from 12 nations and regions worldwide, competing in 13 sports.

The town of Bayeux held a ceremony upon IOC's decision, with the attendance of Masomah Ali Zada, who is a member of the Refugee Olympic Team at the Tokyo Summer Olympics and the IOC Athletes' Commission
