Russian anti-aircraft units downed a drone over the southern Belgorod region, and the falling debris killed three people and seriously injured two others, the regional governor said on Thursday.

Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on the Telegram messaging app that a house had been set on fire in the incident.

The Russian Defense Ministry also confirmed in a Telegram post that it had destroyed a Ukrainian drone over Belgorod on Wednesday night, but there has been no response from Ukraine.
