The Autumn Yellow River Fair kicked off on Wednesday at a wetland park in Ji'nan, Shandong Province. The visitors to the fair can not only buy traditional local produces and intangible cultural heritage handicrafts but also watch a series of special performances.

Farmers piled apples, pears, kiwi fruit, millet and sorghum onto their stands, artisans showed their latest handicrafts, and performers staged local folk songs, operas and lion dances at the fair.

Many fair participants also promoted their products and local tourism, customs and intangible cultural heritage products as well.

Other cities in Shandong will host the Autumn Yellow River Fair in turn to enhance the influence of Shandong produces and culture. The Yellow River Fair as a provincial cultural and tourist brand, will be held throughout the year with different themes on the four seasons.
