A dozen artists from Arabic countries embarked on a 15-day journey to Leping City, Jiangxi Province in October to explore the colorful culture and art of the province, especially the rich ceramic history in Jingdezhen, China's porcelain capital. In Leping, artists fell in love with Jiangxi Opera after visiting the Leping Ancient Theater Museum and watched several representative plays of Jiangxi Opera. With more than 500 ancient theaters, Leping is one of the origins of Jiangxi Opera. Stage construction and Jiangxi Opera from Leping are both listed as national intangible cultural heritage items.
