Jazan Port in southwestern Saudi Arabia is the first in which Chinese companies have been involved in its design, construction and operation. For over a decade, Taher Shawk has been dedicated to working with the China Harbour Engineering Company, the firm behind the port's building. The key infrastructure project is set to accelerate the industrialization of Saudi Arabia, boosting regional logistics and trade. Shawk, who hails from the region, is excited about the changes in his hometown and eagerly anticipates the city's future.
