The pronunciation of the character "tea" in most countries in the world is a variation from the Chinese character "茶" (cha). China has a long history of 5,000 years. Not only has the fragrance of Chinese tea spread to all parts of the world, but also the pronunciation of "茶" (cha) has also spread to all four corners of the globe.
So how is tea pronounced in different countries? Zein Ali, a content creator from Syria joined CGTN's "Cup of Tea" challenge and invited friends from five countries, including Russia, Tajikistan and Thailand, to show how tea is pronounced in their language. Let's take a look!
