"Belt and Road" International Film and Television Cooperation Achievements Press Conference is held in Beijing, October 16, 2023. /CMG

The Belt and Road international film and television cooperation achievements were unveiled at a conference in Beijing on Monday.

Hu Jinjun, vice president of China Media Group (CMG) at the event said the Belt and Road Initiative cooperation has borne fruitful results in past decade.

"CMG has actively built high-quality partnerships and pushed forward in-depth cooperation with media around the globe. It extended wide cooperation in film and television cooperation with international media, telling countries' development stories," Hu said. He said CMG also set up platforms to usher cultural exchanges.

Hu added that CMG will continue to collaborate with international media in the future.

At the event, the documentary series China through the Lenses made its debut for the global audience. Co-produced by the Belt and Road media community, the series tell about China's development stories from the different angles of 14 international directors. The series will be on air via CMG channels and various multimedia platforms.

The event's guests also launched a short-video exhibition to showcase diverse stories filmed by  young people from Generation Z selected from the International Youth Visual Media Festival. The festival received over 300 films from seven countries including China, U.S., Italy, India, Brazil, Indonesia and Cote d'Ivoire.

Shen Haixiong, president of China Media Group also attended the conference. Representatives from China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, embassies in China and media of BRI partner countries also attended the event.
